Earn your graduate minor in Education, Curriculum and Instruction. This graduate program is designed for MA and PhD students who wish to gain a professional skill level in instructional practices. It is applicable for any student pursuing a professional role in:

MA student requirements
A minimum of 6 credits of CI-designated coursework is required for students at a master's level. CI courses must be selected with the consultation of the Director of Graduate Studies.
PhD student requirements
A doctoral minor requires at least 12 credits, including:
- CI 8131- Curriculum and Instruction core: Critical Examination of Curriculum in Context (3.0 cr)
- CI 8132- Curriculum and Instruction Core: Teaching Theory and Research (3.0 cr)
Plus Electives (6 Credits): Courses will be selected in consultation with the Director of Graduate Studies.
How to apply
Application deadline and instructions
Submit a request to add a graduate education minor. When the request has been processed you will receive an email notification. To officially declare the minor after the request is processed, you will submit your minor degree plan in GPAS (Grad Planning & Audit System) for approval by the program.
If you are a non-degree student who is not actively enrolled in a University degree program, please complete the following form for a registration request and see further required actions.
