    Graduate programs

The accelerated Master of Education and Teaching License program will allow you to complete all the required coursework and teaching hours to become a teacher in your field of choice in just 12-15 months. Before you are admitted to the MEd and Teaching license programs, you must complete some prerequisite coursework, which varies based on the type of license you are seeking. Earning a teacher certification at the UMN Twin Cities in a state approved licensure program is part of the entry-level process for working full-time in a Minnesota school. Other states have unique criteria for certifying teachers.
