Catherine Clements is a Lecturer in the Learning Technologies Program at the University of Minnesota. Kate holds a Ph.D. in Learning Technologies/Curriculum and Instruction, an M.A. in English as a Second Language and Hispanic Linguistics, and a B.A.

        Catherine Clements is a Lecturer in the Learning Technologies Program at the University of Minnesota. Kate holds a Ph.D. in Learning Technologies/Curriculum and Instruction, an M.A. in English as a Second Language and Hispanic Linguistics, and a B.A. in Spanish and Journalism from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

        With more than a decade of experience in teacher education, instructional design, and program coordination, Clements has led initiatives in digital pedagogy, online and hybrid curriculum design, and international collaboration. Kate’s work includes developing and managing large-scale virtual exchange and COIL programs, designing professional development courses for the U.S. Department of State, and guiding faculty in the integration of educational technology across modalities.

        Kate’s research interests focus on technology integration in teacher training programs, computer assisted language learning, and equity-driven approaches to online and hybrid instruction. Kate is particularly interested in how digital tools can foster collaboration across borders and expand access to inclusive learning environments.
