Clarkson, C&I faculty, inspires more math majors
Lesa Covington Clarkson, associate professor of mathematics education in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, runs Prepare2Nspire, a near-peer tutoring program to motivate youth in the Twin Cities to love math like she does. Only in its second year, Prepare2Nspire has helped 65 percent of participating elevent-grade students increase their math scores by more than 10 percent.
