Curriculum and Instruction Alumni Honored at 2025 CEHD Awards Celebration

On Tuesday, April 29, the CEHD Alumni Society hosted the 2025 CEHD Alumni Awards Celebration event at the McNamara Alumni Center, a celebration that honored outstanding alumni for their contributions to education and their communities. During the ceremony, two graduates from the Department of Curriculum and Instruction were honored at the awards celebration.

Lana Peterson, an alumna of the Curriculum and Instruction program (MEd ’14, PhD ’23 in Learning Technologies), was awarded the CEHD 2025 Rising Alumni Award in recognition of her significant achievements in the field of educational technology. Brian Lozenski, a graduate of the department of Curriculum and Instruction (PhD ’14 in Culture and Teaching), received the CEHD 2025 Alumni Award of Excellence for his impactful work in promoting culturally relevant teaching and social justice within education. Both recipients were celebrated for their dedication to advancing education and their continued contributions to the field.
