Youth Power in Action: YoUthROC's Spring YPAR Projects

 

 This spring, YoUthROC partnered with UMN’s CEL course, Minneapolis Public Schools, 4-H, Great River School, and Webber Park Library for a nine-week Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) project. Together, high school and University of Minnesota students explored the question: What will make teens come and stay at the library? Through interviews, photovoice, and asset mapping, students developed recommendations centered on inclusion, communication, programming, and infrastructure. Their research culminated in YoUthROC's Family & Friends Night celebrating youth leadership and collective action. The project showcased that youth voices matter, and they are leading transformative change in their communities. Read more.
